Patricia Coleman
Act Smart Drama Worker
Tricia Coleman graduated from Lancaster University in 2005 with a BA in Theatre Studies. Since then she has been working both as Facilitator using theatre in educational and community settings, and also as Producer in site-specific theatre projects. She has taken theatre techniques into schools, community centres and prisons for companies such as Odd Theatre Company, Trinity House Community Resource Centre and Library Theatre Company.
Tricia is Producer and Co-Founder of Larkin' About, which makes pervasive games and interactive experiences. Since its inception in 2009, Larkin' About has created theatrical treasure hunts in Manchester's Christmas Markets, film noir-themed chase games around the Northern Quarter and journeys through empty buildings and deserted streets to stop an impending apocalypse.
She is fascinated by what happens which people witness theatre in non-theatre spaces, subverting the ways in which city spaces are used, and giving audiences real responsibility over their theatre experience.
