Working in the Korogocho slum on the outskirts of Nairobi, Child Peace Kenya is led by Director Peter Litonde.

Child Peace Africa targets the children living in the Korogocho slums in Nairobi, helping them stay safe, healthy and ready for a better future.

In order to realize this ‘peace’, Child Peace is committed to:

- Training and establishing a Korogocho child protection network, comprising of women representing the different sub villages of this community.

- Organising arts and creative workshops with 50 children from Korogocho addressing issues affecting them, with emphasis on their rights and responsibilities.

- Assisting children who are victims of abuse to get medical care and other necessary support by networking and referring them to different institutions.

- In collaboration with the local (and first) community radio station in Kenya, Koch FM, two of the child peace staff host and present a children’s radio programme addressing the many issues affecting children in Korogocho.

C&T has an ongoing relationship with Child Peace Kenya, regularly leading arts and digital media projects with young people in Korogocho, working with local schools and community groups and connecting them to our global network of partnerships.
